His appointment of Area General Manager Benelux in March 2012 leads to his return to the area where Arandelovic fulfilled his first general manager’s position, a historic fact as he became one of the youngest general managers within Hilton Worldwide.
Milan Arandelovic is born in 1969, holds both the German and Slovenian nationality, speaking six languages. He is responsible for a portfolio of seven Hilton Worldwide hotels in the Benelux region.
He graduated at the prestige École Hotelière de Lausanne in 1994 and ever since gained 20 years of experience within Hilton Worldwide. He held various positions across Europe including restaurant and F&B positions and for 2,5 years held the position of Director of Business Development at the Hilton Milan. In 2001 he was appointed general manager of Hilton Rotterdam, becoming one of the youngest general managers in the company.
In 2004 Arandelovic was promoted managing director of the Rome Cavalieri, a hotel in the Waldorf Astoria portfolio where he played a major role in successfully rebranding this Hilton hotel to a luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property. ‘La Pergola’, the hotel’s restaurant, was awarded its third Michelin star under Arandelovic’s leadership.
In 2008 he moved to Munich where he last held the position of general manager Southern Germany.
Back in the Netherlands, Arandelovic opened the first Hilton Garden Inn in the country in 2012 and is actively involved in further developing the region’s portfolio with focus on Hilton’s focused service brands as Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton.
